When JAMB (the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) announced the shift from paper-and-pencil exams to Computer-Based Testing, millions of Nigerian students faced an exam format they'd never used - the barrier wasn't just content knowledge, it was unfamiliarity with sitting an exam on a computer at all.
First Version - Avalanche PK
Built on Microsoft .NET WinForms (VB.NET and C#), distributed via CD - a practice application letting students rehearse past JAMB questions in a genuine computer-based exam interface.
Rebuilt on WPF
Rebuilt for a more interactive experience as the product matured.
Shift to Digital Distribution
Stopped CD sales entirely, moving to direct download with online activation. Since then, the technology foundation has remained stable - investment has gone into keeping content current each exam cycle, not rebuilding the platform.
